I'm Dan. I've spent 4 years working in NHS Physiotherapy services and one year working in Private practice treating everything from post-op rehab to chronic pain. I graduated with a sports and exercise science degree in 2009 and completed my masters Degree in Physiotherapy at York St John in 2022, where I was awarded the dissertation reseach prize.

I've seen what works and what doesn't. And I've seen too many people get handed a generic exercise sheet and told to "just rest."

That's not how I work. If you're a runner, I want to know your training plan. If you're a lifter, I want to see your form. If you're just trying to get through the day without your back screaming at you, I want to understand what's causing it. Then we build a plan that actually fits your life.

The clinic

We're based in The Gym Group York on Foss Islands Road. There is free parking for the duration of your session. Our clinic is situated in a private clinic / treatment room next to the gym lobby. When you arrive, access to us is through the main gym entrance . You don't need any codes to access the main gym lobby, the door will be open. Take a seat in waiting area and we will come and meet you at your appointment time. We have access to the gym floor and equipment should we need this for your rehab sessions
